These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Secure Salt services, including SaltMail and related identity, authentication, micropayment, and communication infrastructure (collectively, the "Service").
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service
Secure Salt provides infrastructure designed to improve the security, authenticity, and efficiency of digital communications.
The Service may include:
- SaltMail email routing and access control
- Identity verification and authentication services
- Micropayment transaction infrastructure
- Messaging and communication protection tools
- APIs and developer tools
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice.
3. Eligibility
To use the Service, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
4. Account registration
You may be required to create an account.
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
You are responsible for all activity under your account.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to:
- Violate any law or regulation
- Send unlawful, abusive, or deceptive communications
- Transmit malware or harmful code
- Circumvent authentication or payment mechanisms
- Abuse APIs or system infrastructure
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
6. Communications compliance
You are responsible for complying with all applicable communication and anti-spam laws, including but not limited to:
- CAN-SPAM
- TCPA
- GDPR
- CCPA
We do not guarantee message delivery.
7. Micropayments and fees
Certain features of the Service may require fees or micropayments.
- Pricing may change at any time with notice
- Payments are non-refundable except where required by law
- You are responsible for all applicable transaction fees
8. Sender responsibility
Where communications require payment, the sender is responsible for associated fees.
Payment does not guarantee message delivery or acceptance. Recipients may apply filtering policies at their discretion.
9. Third-party services
The Service may integrate with third-party providers (e.g., email platforms, identity providers, payment processors).
We are not responsible for third-party services or their actions.
10. User content
You retain ownership of content transmitted through the Service.
You grant Secure Salt a limited license to process, transmit, and store content solely to provide the Service.
You represent that your content does not violate any laws or third-party rights.
11. Privacy
We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Our systems are designed to operate primarily on metadata. Any access to message content is limited, automated, and only performed when technically necessary to provide the Service.
12. Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect our systems and user data. However, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
13. Intellectual property
All rights, title, and interest in the Service are owned by Secure Salt or its licensors.
You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or reproduce the Service without authorization.
14. Service suspension
We may suspend or restrict access to the Service at any time, without notice, if:
- You violate these Terms
- Your activity poses a risk to the Service or others
- Required by law
15. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time.
We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without notice, for any reason at our sole discretion.
16. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that messages will be delivered.
17. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Secure Salt shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
In no event shall our total liability exceed the greater of (a) $100 USD or (b) the amount you paid us in the six (6) months preceding the claim.
18. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Secure Salt from any claims arising out of your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
19. Governing law & dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware.
Any disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Delaware under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis and waive any right to participate in a class action or jury trial.
20. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
21. Miscellaneous
- These Terms constitute the entire agreement
- If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect
- Failure to enforce any right is not a waiver
